About Me
Jeanne Jo was born in Stoneham, Massachusetts and raised in Reno, Nevada. She is a new media artist who works in performance, sculpture and video. She recently received her MFA in Digital+Media from the Rhode Island School of Design, where she was a President’s Scholar and recipient of many awards, including a Graduate Award of Excellence. She received her BFA in Digital Media from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she minored in Art History and was the singer for a hardcore band, Arabella. Her recent and upcoming exhibitions are at the University of Lapland in Rovaniemi, Finland, the INPORT Festival in Tallinn, Estonia, and SOCIAL FABRICS: Wearable+Media+Interconnectivity, the 2008 exhibition for the Leonardo (Journal of the International Society for the Arts, Sciences and Technology) Education Forum at CAA in Dallas, Texas. She is currently a Visiting Lecturer at Brown University in the Modern Culture and Media department. She lives in Boston.
