a changed bear
Just heard about this:
A bear was walking across Rainbow Bridge (Old Hwy 40 at Donner Summit, Truckee) on Sept 15, 2007 when two cars also crossing the bridge scared the bear into jumping over the edge. somehow the bear caught the ledge and was able to pull itself to safety. Authorities decided that nothing could be done to help Saturday night so they returned Sunday morning to find the bear sound asleep on the ledge. After securing a net under the bridge the bear was tranquilized, fell into the net, lowered, then woke up and walked out of the net.
karaoke rules
Leave it to Serena to convince everyone to go out for karaoke at 11:30 at night, instead of going home. Awesome. She did backups for me while I sang Hotel California. She also took this photograph of Triton singing Brian Adams.

This is how I was going to create motion for the Christian Myspace robots, however, now I am going to simplify and just have them turn and face each other, no more dipping of their heads and other unnecessary motion. Now I will only need three servos, and not use any pulleys. It is a lot more practical and, I think, will be just as good.
Progress
Despite my last post, I actually do need to write some updates on my projects. I have scrapped the toy organ project for now, after realizing that all I really want out of it is to solder my little toy organ together and make a little box for it. I don’t want it to be an art piece, I just think it would be cool to have a little toy organ to keep in your pocket!
I have two projects going right now that I am pretty excited about. I am back to my original design on the Singing Booth. I’m also starting work on some small robots that are going to tie in with online networking. I’ll save the gory details for when I actually have time to do them justice. (After I get half of my compendium finished and my presentation on Judith Donath started. So, probably not today.)
